We’ve been taught to see coincidence as random.

But what if it’s actually communication?

In this episode, I introduce what I call the language of the heart. The subtle, powerful way the universe is always speaking to you through synchronicities, intuition, and deeply personal moments of meaning.

In this episode, we cover:

• What synchronicities really are and how they differ from coincidence

• The connection between intuition, science, and universal consciousness

• Why we’ve become so disconnected and what it’s costing us

• Simple, practical ways to start noticing and trusting the messages in your life

Dr. Vanessa Calderón: Hi friends, welcome back to the podcast. We are doing an episode today on reconnecting to something that I think is inherent in who we are that we have slowly disconnected from over the last hundreds of years. And that's what I call the language of the heart, also known as connecting with communication directly from divine or the universe, also known as synchronicities. So we're gonna jump in and talk about what synchronicities are, like what this means. gonna give you examples of how ancient civilizations have been practicing this for ⁓ and it's so important for us to reconnect with this technology in the world today. And then we're gonna talk about how we do it. And I'm end this episode ⁓ giving you kind of a personal story of why this is so important to me. I hope that you walk away with a completely different relationship to what we call coincidences. Okay, so let's jump in. What are we talking about? the idea that the universe speaks to us is not necessarily new. ⁓ And I'm it the language of the heart. And it's sort of a way of moving through the world that is more tuned in, way more open, and really in a way that is ⁓ we're paying attention to the messages that we're getting. And reason why this matters so much is because we are really, ⁓ are and we're also really gifted. And the more we allow ourself to be guided by something bigger than The more we trust what's coming to us, the more we realize that we are also connected to something bigger and also we are incredibly intuitive. And then you start trusting what comes through you. I'll tell you right now that this is not a new aged idea. In fact, ancient civilizations have been practicing this for thousands and thousands of years. And those skeptics out there, I'm not here to prove myself to anyone. But if you're listening and you're kind of on the fence about what this even means, I'll tell you that some of our most well-respected, the most published scientists are also fully behind this concept. Bohr, Stephen Hawkins, even Albert Einstein. In fact, Albert Einstein has this comment where says, Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous. so let's jump in and talk about what I actually mean when I talk about the language of the universe. So I'm to start by talking about the concept of a synchronicity. So that word, synchronicity, ⁓ was word that was coined by one of the most influential psychiatrists who has ever lived and who quoted all the time. And that's Carl Jung. So in the early 20th century, he coined that term, synchronicity. He's also the person that says what you resist persist. And so he gets quoted all the time, has done some of the most influential work in psychiatry. the definition he gives for the concept of synchronicity is this very simple. It's a meaningful coincidence to events that occur together with no ⁓ causal link between them. So ⁓ doesn't necessarily cause B, but they're happening, that this unmistakable personal significance. So he called it ⁓ an causal. connecting principle, which in plain language means things that are connected, not because ⁓ causes the other, not because A caused B, but because they share a meaning. Now know that sounds a little abstract, so I'm going to make it more concrete. A coincidence when, ⁓ let's say, strangers show up to a party wearing the same shirt. Everyone laughs, everyone moves on. Okay? No charge to it. Asynchronicity is when sort of been waiting or wrestling with a question like whether to leave your job and you've been thinking about this for weeks and then all of sudden you open a book to a random page and the first sentence you read says hey the cave you fear to enter holds the treasure that you seek and your whole body lights up your whole body's like whoa wait a second is this answering my question that's the difference not that the event itself but the significance of the event it means something to you Jung spent decades observing these moments in his patients and in his own life. And he noticed that they clustered around emotionally charged periods, times of transformation, grief, falling in love or major decisions. if the deeper you went into your inner life, the more the outer world began to respond. And think that sort of makes sense because if you're sitting and wrestling with ⁓ an question and then something happens externally, you're to be like, ⁓ That's weird. I have been thinking about this and now I get the sign in the song or in this book. However, ancient traditions, and I'll give you examples in a little bit, didn't just notice this around ⁓ charged periods. They noticed this throughout their entire days, throughout their entire lives. It was just ⁓ way of being, a way of always moving through the world, a different mental model. But Carl Jung noticed this with himself and with his patients around emotionally charged times. And he came to believe that these experiences pointed to something real, layer of reality he called the collective unconscious or what I call now as sort of the collective I call it the consciousness, universal consciousness. He called the collective unconscious, which is shared field of experience that's beneath the surface of our minds. So a shared field of human experience that we're not super conscious stuff. It's not like I'm thinking about this all the time, it's like as a collective, we're all kind of experiencing it. So it's a collective consciousness. It's quite physical, not quite psychological, but something else, something that connected inner and outer, ⁓ the world and the outer world in ways that linear cause and effect couldn't explain. And so the definition of, you speaking language of the heart or synchronicities, as Carl Jung said, is when your inner world, so what you're thinking, feeling, or longing for, and then the outer world, an event, a person, a symbol, in a way that exceeds statistical probability and then lands within you in a very personal, meaningful way. That's probably the most important thing is that you feel it, that it resonates with you. That's when it actually matters. So, I want to talk just briefly, briefly, briefly about the difference between a coincidence and synchronicity. Because I am someone that I think I've always been ⁓ intuitive. always been, I grew up with a dad who was a mystic. And so ⁓ always been deeply, deeply connected to the land and ancestral roots and, and, know, the moon and the stars and what everything sort of means. That's, so that's kind of the life that I grew up in. And I grew up in America. as a brown female and I had a lot of people telling me not to believe in those things that those things were wild or crazy or bunch of things like you can't prove that that's stuff of the devil and of course I started to doubt a lot of these things that was coming up for me and so ⁓ one the things I remember thinking about it came to this concept of signs ⁓ or the of the heart or synchronicities was this question isn't it that ⁓ are just trying too hard? Are we just looking for things that are not really even there? Is this just our brain playing a trick on us? And ⁓ the that humans are pattern seeking beings. Our brains are for patterns all of the time. It's a survival mechanism. ⁓ And so it's that we do look patterns all of the time. And we also look for because The other thing human beings are, we're not just looking for patterns. We're meaning making machines. We're meaning making animals. And there is a concept of conformational bias, and that's true. Conformational bias is when we notice things and then we hold on to them and we remember them. For example, if you're someone that really fully believes in signs, let's say, and you've been thinking about your best friend and all of a sudden she calls, not going to remember all the times that you were thinking about your best friend and they didn't call. You're just going to remember the time that, ⁓ yes, I believe in science and this happened. I just want to name that because I think it's important to name ⁓ name the fact that confirmation bias is real ⁓ that as human beings, we seek patterns and we seek meaning. But are some other things that are so important to name here. And I'm going to dive deep into the science, but I'll do my best to not get super nerdy. OK. There's a chief scientist, his name is Dean Radin, and he's at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. And a very long time ago, he'd spent decades running all of these lab experiments on exactly this type of question. was asking people ⁓ necessarily to report how they felt, ⁓ he was actually measuring physiologic responses. ⁓ what he found was that the body was responding to a stimuli before the stimuli had occurred. The technical term is pre-sentiment. he published this in ⁓ review journals. And concept of pre-sentiment, like your body responds before stimuli has occurred. Like ⁓ your knows to skip the beat before it hears a loud boom. ⁓ Or know to like clench before something happens. Like, ⁓ wow, sounds bananas and crazy. How is that possible? Well, his meta-analysis showed these effects that exceed chance at levels that in other fields of science would be considered incredibly significant. And so now this concept is being studied by a ton of universities, by Stanford and all these other universities. And I think what this really tells us at the core is that we are connected to, maybe we're connected to something bigger than us, a universal consciousness. And so in physics, in 1960, there was this dude, John Bell, And what John Bell proved was bananas. He proved that this concept of ⁓ quantum mechanics was correct. here's the concept. The is that two things that seem unrelated could be happening at the same exact time. And by the way, this concept won a Nobel Prize. So ⁓ I'm to see if I can sort of simplify So let's imagine, imagine you have a pair of coins. There's two coins, there are two quarters. The quarters were made at the same exact time and in the same exact place. And you have one and your best friend has the other one. But now your best friend got on a rocket ship and flew to the other side of the universe. ⁓ So they have the coin and you have the other coin. so there's two particles. that were created at the same exact time, but now they're totally separate in time space. Okay, so they're far away from each other. now every time you both flip your coins at the exact same time, every time your friend gets a heads, you get a tails. And every time you get the heads, your friend gets the tail without fail every time, ⁓ every you flip the coins. So you'd probably think, okay, that's wild. Maybe these coins may have been set up in a way that, you know, before they were separated maybe, you know, ⁓ ⁓ always secretly assigned to your coins and one was always secretly assigned to theirs. Like answers were kind of ⁓ put of the coins. Many scientists believe that too. And that's John Bell was trying to disprove. He was trying to disprove that these had anything to do and that they were just happening by chance. So John Bell came along and said, hold on, we can actually test this. We can test this. he figured out a really clever way to run an experiment that would prove once and for all whether the coins had secret pre-packed answers or something else was happening. So scientists these experiments over and over and over again, and they ran them with real particles, not these coins. This is just my example to you, but real particles. what they found was The coins did not have pre-packed answers. They didn't know that they were going to land, how they were going to land ahead of time. means when you flip your coin and it lands on heads, something about that instantly tells your friend's coin to land on tails, even though they're on the other side of the universe. There's no phone, no texts, no signals traveling them. They're just connected in a way that had no explanation in ordinary physics. That's called quantum entanglement or entanglement. And the scientists who proved this beyond a doubt, they won a Nobel Prize in 2022. It was, you guys know the Nobel Prize, biggest award in science because what they confirmed is genuinely one of the strangest and most important things ever discovered about how reality works, the universe has a kind of connection in it that does not need a wire or a signal or even time. It just is. So what is wild about this, the meaning of this ⁓ ⁓ this, that classical physics had assumed that all connections are local and causal. Classical physics had believed that A always causes B through a chain of events in space and time. Then physics came along and quantum physics proved that ⁓ non-local, you don't have to be in the same space, a causal, correlations are real. A causal meaning that A doesn't necessarily have to cause B, but these two things could correlate in real time. things can be meaningfully related without one causing the other. And then Young coined a causal connecting principle in And that that Young coined, by the way, that was way before the test. Bell test didn't happen until 10 years later. So it's sort remarkable. ⁓ to think that he was noticing that things were happening and then quantum physics came along and proved it. kind of the story ⁓ a lot of materialistic science where things been happening for centuries and centuries, things that ⁓ our have been practicing forever. And then Western medicine is like, hold on a second, that's impossible. And then they come and do a study and they're like, huh, either we can't explain it. We don't know why, but we can't disprove it either. And that's when we start believing that's actually how the whole field of positive psychology was created. The concept that meditation actually works and makes you feel better or practicing gratitude makes you feel better or feeling happy makes you feel better. All of those things came because we saw people practicing this for years and years and years, generations outside of the United States, outside of what's the Western world. we realized that they were having an effect. so of course Western medicine came to try to solve it. So ⁓ It's very wild. the thing that I think matters here is that physics had to expand the way thought. Physics had to expand its nomenclature and it had to create a concept of quantum physics, whole new category of connection to account for what it observed. And argued that psychology required the same exact thing. Hey, let's start thinking differently. So the argument ⁓ is kind fascinating to think that Quantum physics is another way to think about how synchronicities may actually be happening. the thing that I keep coming back to is this, which is so fascinating to me, because I just went through a whole thing to prove to you, Hey, hello, quantum physics is showing us that there's a causal relationship between things. Two things can be happening that are ⁓ related between time and space, but they have a relationship towards each other. i.e. the language of the heart, you know, we're speaking to us. even you set the science entirely aside, the research, the research on us ⁓ making a out of things like meaning making and psychology is incredibly profound. And there's a very, very famous psychologist. ⁓ He was actually a physician. He's a psychiatrist that built an entire therapeutic framework called a logotherapy. His name is Viktor Frankl. He was also a Holocaust survivor he wrote a book called Man's Search for Meaning. And he saw while he was in the internment camps, well, he was in the ⁓ Nazi death camps. What he saw was that the prisoners that were in those camps that were trying to make sense of why they were there and were trying to make meaning out of it and were trying to come up with like, hey, don't we're going to be okay at the end. And they were like thinking about what they were going to eat and how they were going to find their loved ones and you know, their wedding was going to happen. Those types of things. had measurably better outcomes. They were able to survive illness, survive disease, survive depression. And what we've seen translated outside of there is folks that do focus on connecting to something bigger than themselves, understanding that, on a second, maybe I'm not alone. Maybe there's something bigger than me that I can be a part of. Those folks have measurably better health outcomes. They're more resilient. They have deeper well-being. the language of the heart isn't just sort of spiritual. It's also a really beautiful psychological technology that we can tap into to feel better about ourselves. OK, I'm going to a little bit about how ancient cultures in the real world ⁓ have been practicing this forever. Because I think that there's this modern assumption that events are sort of random, that coincidences are meaningless, and that the world is indifferent. ⁓ sort of a very, very, very recent aberration because almost every human culture that has ever existed on this planet developed very sophisticated framework for reading the world symbolically, for listening the world, for understanding and being in communication with it whatever you want, universe, god, divine consciousness, super consciousness, higher consciousness, whatever you want to call it. ⁓ isn't necessarily superstition, it's just a different way of knowing, a different way of walking world, a different mental model. The Lakota ⁓ a very old indigenous tribe, held the concept of Wakantanka, also known as the great mystery. speaks through the natural world. The great mystery, universal consciousness speaks through the natural world. So ⁓ example, an animal that crosses your path at a significant moment is not random, it's communication. The direction that a bird flies, again, not random. And all these ⁓ were to be expressions of a very living and a very responsive cosmos. So synchronicities weren't anomalies. They were expected language of a very interconnected universe. the ancient Greeks had two words for the concept of time. They had one word called chronos. That's the very, ⁓ time you look at on your watch, very linear, sequential, tick of the clock, one moment after another. And they had another word for time, which is kairos. And that the qualitative charged moments, meaning the right time. the opportune openings. So kairos is the moment when the universe presents a door. to live well in old Greek thought was to be attentive enough to recognize a kairos when it arrived. When those moments arrived, that's when in for you to live well, you had to be in communication and in connection with the universe so that you could recognize a kairos. And then hermeticism. ⁓ The ancient hermetics, one of the oldest philosophical traditions rooted in ancient Egypt, us the principle that has never stopped being true. I not met one person that could ever disprove this. And it's very simple saying, ⁓ as above, below. As within, ⁓ so without. That the and the outer worlds are mirrors and what moves in one moves in the other. That is that its core, a theory of synchronicity. What moves in one moves in the other. then there's something called the I Ching. Man, the more I learn about the I Ching, the ⁓ like my mind blown that I ⁓ My mind gets blown every time I learn more and more about the I Ching. So I Ching is over 3000 years old the ancient Chinese built this entire of wisdom on the premise that ⁓ meaningful event and what they thought is like a meaningful random event. So remember what we're saying is that if an event is random but it's also meaningful, we're calling that a synchronicity. an event is just random, an event is random. That's a coincidence. But once it makes meaning, then that's when we call it language of the heart. So they believed and what they created ⁓ was on this premise that a random event For example, for them it was the toss of coins and the cast of these gyro stocks could reveal the pattern of a moment. It wasn't necessarily predicting the future, it was just revealing a pattern or the nature of what was at the time. ⁓ actually went through and started learning more about the I Ching. He was so moved by this system that he wrote the entire foreword to the most celebrated Western translation of the I Ching. And he called it one of the most sophisticated systems of synchronistic thinking he had ever encountered. the way the iQing works is you ⁓ a question and then you cast these coins in your arrow sticks. And I think you cast them number times. I think you do it six times and you wait to see which pattern shows up. And then that reveals to you ⁓ something for you understand about this moment. So I've used it couple of times and every time. I get the response I get, my mind is always so blown. It's wild. It's super, super cool. called the I Ching, C-H-I-N-G. Okay. And then of course we have Taoism where the concept of Wu Wei, this effortless action that's in alignment with natural flow. Effortless action in alignment with natural flow. We're going to come back to that in a little bit. So the ⁓ or the was not separate from daily life. It was expressed through it. through timing, through unexpected encounters, through strange and perfect arrival of things. So Wu Wei isn't the concept of being passive. It's about being radically attuned to the world around you. So you see every major tradition, every wisdom tradition, every continent, every era before the Industrial Revolution decided that the mechanism of being in connection with something so much bigger than us being in communication with the universe was really the only acceptable explanation for anything. And civilizations were ⁓ so advanced. So learning read synchronicities again is not a new age invention. It's really a return. It's a remembering of a language that we have spoken for thousands and thousands of years that for a long time, for the last couple of hundreds of years, were told wasn't real. And so we just stopped speaking it. it's really important to reconnect with this. ⁓ why is it so important to reconnect with this, especially right now? Why this matter? Why does it matter for you specifically? So ⁓ what come to understand. ⁓ You have noticed that we ⁓ are living some really wild times right now. We can connect with any human being across the world in an instant and yet we still feel incredibly disconnected. we have this huge of consciousness that's happening right in front of our eyes. I mean, tell you, 20 years ago, even though meditation was being practiced, it wasn't something that everybody was speaking about. The other day was in line for something. And I heard, I was in line picking up pizza for dinner for my family. I heard the people behind me having a conversation about how the guy had to get up earlier that morning for his meditation. was like, man, this isn't the common vernacular. We all know it's good for you. We're all talking about it. We're all practicing it. We are a massive shift in transformation. And we are incredibly mentally overloaded. You know, we have these phones and these social media apps and all of these things that we can connect to that will overload us in an instant. if haven't yet noticed, ⁓ notice the world is really run by fear. So people know that the world is run by fear and fear really controls massive populations. And so that's why the news is so popular ⁓ because news is always telling you really negative stories ⁓ and gets you to watch and watch and watch and it gets them. ad revenue and makes them a lot of money. And so, and if you have any kind of notifications on on your phone, you're constantly getting dinged. calendar's full, the noise never stops. And when everything is competing for your attention, ⁓ every is pinging and flashing and demanding something for you. The signal of synchronicity gets drowned out entirely. We ⁓ have incredibly disconnected. incredibly disconnected from ourselves, from our heart, our emotions, our feelings, our body, disconnected from the universe and the language of the universe. And thing about what I call the language of the heart, it's not It doesn't shout to us. It's well, maybe will shout to you if you don't listen and it's really important, but it ⁓ it's and it and ⁓ it requires you to paying attention. And when you do pay attention, what becomes possible is incredibly powerful. First, you notice that you begin to move through life with the sense of being connected, with the sense of being guided. ⁓ happens is you first start to reconnect to self. You reconnect to yourself, to your body, to your heart, to how feel, how you think, to the most authentic version of yourself. to your inner sage, And then once you do that, then you connect to the universe and you start to notice the sense of being guided. Your decisions become clearer, not because you have more information or data, but because you're drawing a wider divine intelligence that is so much more intelligent than our brain. Many of us think that the most important thing, that the smartest thing in the world is the analytical brain. But truthfully, no, because it's limited. The analytical brain is limited. But divine consciousness is unlimited. So you start to feel the difference between a door that's starting to open in front of you a wall that you've been banging your head against over and over again. All of a sudden, you're like, huh, hold on a second. Let me take a step back here. What's way to do this? And then start to notice themes ⁓ or recurring ⁓ Maybe it's a word that's following you or a number that keeps appearing. A question a stranger is asking you that perfectly echoes what you've been wrestling with privately. these are not random. ⁓ is the universe using the material of your daily life to send you course corrections, to send you confirmations or both. I think that's really important. I'm going to spend some time talking about how to practice this in a second, but ⁓ just how ⁓ The messages that you will start to get are messages that make sense to you. then your relationship deepens because you begin trusting your intuitive read of people. You begin trusting your intuitive read of circumstances or situations ⁓ than constantly overriding all of it with what you think you're supposed to think. But if, but what if, hold on a second. How is it that you feel about this? Does this feel good in your body? Because the heart knows things. before the mind catches up. The heart knows. you start honoring that knowing, instead of talking yourself out of all of these things, things start to change for you. And I think ⁓ might be the most important, that you start to develop what ⁓ can only describe as the sacred trust in the process of your own life. I last week about honoring your sacred journey in life ⁓ and that you are on a sacred journey in life. And again, I don't think that's passive. It's not sitting back and waiting for things to happen, instead it's this ⁓ engaged participation with something so much larger than us. And think the difference between a person who is incredibly burnt out or exhausted by their life and a person who feels held, you know, is that one of them believes they're doing life alone and the other one knows that they're connected to something so much bigger. So you are not walking this life alone. The universe is not indifferent to you. It's in conversation with you. always has been. ⁓ just need to start to listen. We need to start paying attention and we need to start remembering what it feels like to speak the language of the heart. Okay, how can we start practicing this? ⁓ Well, answer is slowly. How do you actually begin? Begin at the beginning, ⁓ slowly practically. I know some of you that are listening right now, maybe this is resonating with you and you're ready. You're ready to start practicing this. you might be wondering, how do I do it on a Tuesday morning when I'm running late and my coffee maker isn't working ⁓ I got to get to work? So thing about the language of the heart is nothing needs to happen all at once. You don't have to go from zero to 100. You learn the way you learn any language. You learn it slowly, imperfectly through practice and repetition. That's it. It just takes practice. is one of those things that I call an infinite game. You guys have heard me talk about infinite games if you've been listening to this podcast for a while. Infinite are games that we choose to play for the rest of our lives. ⁓ There things we choose to practice the rest of our lives. For example, I practice balance. Balancing the spiritual part me and the physical part of me walking this planet. Balancing the giving the receiving. balancing my masculine tendencies which doing, doing, and my feminine tendencies which are being, you know, being present, being calm. This the same exact thing. ⁓ It's practice that requires you to choose to do it the rest of your life. Speaking the language, it gets easier and easier when you do it because eventually it your way of being. It just becomes who you are. For example, ⁓ I mean, for so long I practiced getting up every morning, meditating, and going to the gym and exercising. For many years I practiced that. now it's just who I've become. ⁓ day get up, I don't think, do I need to meditate or is it time to meditate? I get up and I walk to my meditation room and then put on my gym clothes and I go to the gym. Never once is there a question because after a while of you practicing this for so long, it just becomes who you are. And yes, of course there are times that you may fall off the wagon and that's when you just get back up again and go again. I just say that because ⁓ many of us start these practices and then we get really discouraged. It's not working. ⁓ Like speaking the language of the heart, for example, it's working. Nothing is coming to me. I'm not learning anything. The universe want to speak to me. Something must be wrong with me. And truthfully, it's of that. It's just, you just have to go slow. And you just have to be open and you just have to be willing. of this as building a very new muscle. It's a sensory muscle. The muscle is there already. like your biceps. They're already there. You were born with them. It just hasn't been used in a while. So you start gently and slowly. Okay. So how do we start? I think of the most important things to start doing is asking a question. So you can ask ⁓ any question want. And what you want to do with the question is you want you want to just be open to the answer. You want to just say something very like maybe like show me what I need to see today or what's here for me today. And it could be something even deeper if you're going through a career transition. Show me what's what choices in my highest and best interest. Show me how to select my next team whatever it is you want. You be specific if you want. And then just notice what comes up for you. So you start with the question. You start with the question or an intention. That's how you start your day. then I recommend what I call, ⁓ I call it magic moments. It's ⁓ journal that I keep ⁓ I just journal what I call the magic moments, things that happened throughout my day where the universe was ⁓ to me. And I used do this. So my practice when I go to bed at night is to ⁓ really my day. celebrations, moments of gratitude, and then my magic moments. so I have a journal that I keep next to my bed. And it's specifically for me to log in ⁓ all moments that ⁓ I messages from the universe. And I ⁓ so I to do that every night and that was my practice. And then I realized, Hey, this stuff is happening to me like randomly in the middle of the day and I want to remember it. So I started creating ⁓ on my notes app on my iPhone. just go to my notes app and then I started entering logs in the daytime when something would happen. ⁓ would have a question about something and then I would see something and I'd be like, ⁓ okay, thank you universe. And so ⁓ would write it down in my notes app in my log of moments. I called it magic moments. And so what you want to do is you want to be open for things that are oddly significant to you that made you pause that left a small kind of like, huh, something that resonated with you. And for each entry, what you want to write down is what happened? Like what was the external thing that you noticed? what you were internally thinking or feeling at the time. Maybe you were, maybe you had a question, maybe you were thinking about a dead relative that passed away. Maybe it's a feeling or a situation that you've been sitting with for a while and how it felt when that external thing happened and that external thing met what you were feeling inside. you don't want to analyze it. You just want to record it. The act of writing it down tells your higher self something, Hey, I'm paying attention. I'm listening. And when you signal that you're listening, you're going to get more and more messages. They're going to become more and more clear because you're just practicing. building that muscle. Okay. So one, start with an intention. ⁓ Step be open to notice. Step three, ⁓ document You can do it on your notes app. You can do it in a, ⁓ call a magic journal or whatever you want to call it at night. ⁓ Synchronous journal. ⁓ And ⁓ very It's to write down the things that happen throughout the day that you resonated with. So what signs did you notice? And then if you want, you can start noticing what precedes them over time you're likely going to start seeing a pattern because or these like magical moments will tend to cluster around periods of openness times when you're open, when you're vulnerable, when you're curious, when you're clear. and that pretty awesome. It's pretty awesome to see like, huh, the more open I am, the more messages I get they're rare when you're shut down or distracted or you're running on autopilot. I for me the sign that I have become disconnected from divine or what I call my higher self is when I've become hyper urgent all of a sudden. All of sudden things need to happen immediately, really fast and I'm walking faster, thinking faster, ⁓ maybe even faster. Those are signs me I know, hey, take a deep breath. Slow down. What's happening? Connect again. Because either I'm avoiding something or something feels uncomfortable. That's my sign to reconnect. this is going to tell you something really important, that your ability to receive is very important. Your ability to receive the messages from divine, that's the only way you're going to get them. You have to be open to receiving them. And I ⁓ am on or when you're shut down or distracted, you're going to be closed off to receiving. And the more genuinely open you are, the more you're going to get these messages. And then you can start asking yourself, once you like start to notice them more and more, can finally start asking yourself, what does this mean to me? Not what does this mean, ⁓ but what does this mean to me? Because these will all have personal residences for you. The of the heart is personal. It's not like a universal code where everybody will see the same thing. Although a lot of people sometimes start noticing certain things and we, like if you were to look up a book on meaning of seeing an eagle over and over again, or the meaning of a hummingbird over and over again, you'll noticing very similar things. ⁓ And might be because that's the spirit that that animal holds. And it's been translated over ⁓ many, different cultures over and over again. ⁓ So will have sort of more generalized meaning. But you don't want to start distrusting what something means to you. That's the very first step here is you're reconnecting to you. And so what does this mean to me? The language of the heart is personal. example, a crow appearing might mean one thing to you and something entirely different to your best friend who grew I don't on a corn farm where they were scaring away the crows. ⁓ So ⁓ the in body is going to be ⁓ the decoder of message. So you can ask, what does this mean to me or how does this feel to me? How does this feel to me? That's an even more powerful question than what does this mean to me? What is, what am I feeling about this? when something stops you don't immediately go to chat GPT to find the answer. Don't Google it. Just sit with it for a moment. What your heart saying? What is it recognizing? What is your gut telling you? Start there. ⁓ And later, if you want to go deeper, You can start exploring the symbolism, but don't start with the symbolism. Check in with yourself first. man. ⁓ I think this is probably ⁓ of the steps most people skip, which is ⁓ It's really important. So a synchronicity that you notice, but you don't honor, might ⁓ start fade. You might not get these messages as much. So ⁓ if received a message ⁓ and noticed it and it came to you, you can just and close the loop and say, okay, I got it. Sometimes I just say, thank you, divine. I keep going, but it's just a recognition that I got the message. And sometimes I just smile or I put my hand over my heart. It's something that sort of closes, symbolizes closing the loop. I asked a question, I got the answer. I say, thank you. Or ⁓ been about something and all of a sudden something shows up for me. I say, thank you. So if a book keeps crossing your path, for example, Maybe it's time that you pick it up and buy it or at least write down the title so you can say, okay, I got the message. I'll check it out. Somebody was telling me about this podcast series. I heard it three different times and I just, I heard it twice. I ignored it. I ignored it. Then I heard it a third time and I'm like, All right, it's time. And of course, the podcast spoke directly to me and it blew my mind and it was perfect. So thank you, Universe, for sending me the message the third time. ⁓ man. So I'm going to share two more things that I think are really helpful in terms of best practices for reconnecting with the language of the heart. is ⁓ because this is really subtle, these messages can be subtle. It's going to be hard to hear them ⁓ in that are loud and your mind is usually pretty loud. So what I'm going to ask you to do if you don't already have a quiet time for yourself, like a quiet time for you to just sit quietly and intentionally, it's 10 minutes or 15 minutes of just meditation or prayer or journaling or whatever you do in the morning. ⁓ you just drink coffee quietly or you go out for a walk. It's time for you to be quiet and alone. So ⁓ I quietly and meditate every morning, for example, but you choose whatever ⁓ is whatever for you. And this is a time to have no input. So you don't put on music in your ears or a podcast, scrolling, no news. It's just you and your breath or you and a cup of water, you and coffee, for example, ⁓ you need to have that open space ⁓ you need to start clearing your mind. And next thing I'll say is sometimes when we get a message one time, we dismiss it. But sometimes when we get the same message over and over again, we're going to start to notice, hey, why does this keep happening to me? And one of my mentors once told me something. is incredibly connected to just a higher consciousness. ⁓ she once told me, yeah, spirit gives messages all the time, but I don't always. want to listen to them because sometimes they're scary and I don't want to go do whatever it's asking me to do. And so I ask it to tell me again. say, Hey, I want to know. want three confirmations before I take any action. lo and behold, she'll get the three confirmations. And so what I'll just share with you is you get a message and you're not entirely sure, ask again, say, Hey, I think that message was for me, but if it is, can I see it again? Can I get another message and just notice what comes up for you? Because again, like if you get another message, like these are not random encounters. These are messages directly for you. ⁓ think I'm going to end it there. ⁓ I have a story to share with all of you. If you've been listening this long, now you get to hear the story. I share it at the beginning because honestly, I was a little apprehensive to share this story because it's a little But it's about how powerful ⁓ it can be when we start reconnecting to our intuition and to the language of the universe and how guided we can be. So I'll tell you again, I grew up very intuitive, very connected to source something bigger than me. And, know, through social programming, I stopped believing in all of it. And then I came home to it again. Thank you, universe, for bringing me home to it again. And about many years ago, I was working from home and I had this ⁓ it was during COVID. was when COVID first started we had to pull our kids out of school because I put their kids were at home from school ⁓ my home office was just down the hall from where my son napped and he was a little kid at the time so he was still taking naps in the middle of the day and ⁓ I my ⁓ noise headphone on ⁓ and had the same routine every day I'd get up meditate a journal, I would do some work, and then ⁓ I would go to the gym. Same time every day. so ⁓ about time for me to start thinking about going to the gym that day. And so I was thinking, okay, I'm going to take off my headphones, I'm going to go to the gym. And then I get this weird intuitive hit. Don't yet. Don't go for your run yet. I'm like, huh, that's weird. Okay, whatever. ⁓ I'll stay and keep reading. Maybe there's something I've missed here. Whatever. I didn't think twice. My noise canceling headset's on again and I'm still working. It was nap time for my son and my daughter was downstairs with our babysitter. And my husband was way on the other side of the hall in his home office working. And then I hear this noise. It's like a yell. Like I hear this loud scream. I was like, huh, that's weird. What was that? So I take my noise canceling headset off and it's totally quiet in my house. And I open my door and I'm like, I'll just walk down to see what the heck that could have been. Maybe someone dropped something. And I looked down the stairs and nope, my daughter's downstairs and she's just hanging out with the babysitter, totally quiet, they're reading a book. husband's in his room, I hear him on a call. ⁓ so I'm like, huh, I'll just check my son's room. So I opened the door and go into where my son is napping. And is on the floor ⁓ on hands and knees holding his throat and he's cyanotic, he's blue, like he's not breathing. So ⁓ I know what made that loud scream, but it couldn't have been him because he couldn't breathe so he couldn't talk. And I'm an ER doc by training, by the way. So I immediately look at him. I see that he's not breathing and I go down and grab him and I do what's called a finger sweep. I just put my finger way to the back of his throat and I just sweep out for anything there because I could see that he's choking on something. there's a huge quarter that pops out. He had swallowed a quarter. And I ⁓ move quarter out and he immediately starts breathing again. And I'm just like, ⁓ clearly hello, this is my my baby. And I'm like holding him tight to me. And just like loving all up against like I'm loving him so much and I call my husband in there and I'm like Whoa, and like I'm not I'm not connecting all these dots immediately I'm just like there on the ground with him so grateful that I walked in when I walked in and that he's alive and that he's So we put him in observation and we watch him and thankfully he was okay everything's back to normal all good and I am just like sitting there and I don't want to make it a big deal I don't want to make it a big deal that had I gone from my run earlier or had I not walked out of the office, what could have happened? I didn't want to even think about it. And so soon as we see that he's back to normal, we observed him, I have to get out of the house. So I get out of the house and I go for a run and I crying. I'm just like, what? That was bananas. How did that just happen? And not how did just happen? But like, How was I so divinely connected that something told me, go for a run. And then something said, something like pulled me out of where I was sitting out of that uncancelling headset and told me to get know, like that, whatever that was that I heard that I couldn't explain. I couldn't explain what that was. Nobody else heard anything. My didn't hear anything downstairs. My husband didn't hear anything. So I don't know what that was, but it was clearly something meant for me to get up out of my chair to go save my son's life. ⁓ since then, I've been so grateful for reconnecting to something so much bigger than me. And I would never again doubt the fact that the universe is communicating with us ⁓ of the time through through symbols, through music, through notes, through through books, ⁓ all of time. And the more that you're open to being in communication with the universe, the easier your life will get. more you connect to something bigger than you, the easier your life gets. You are in flow. You start asking questions and you get answers so quickly. ⁓ no longer in resistance mode, like pushing, pushing, pushing. You just can let go and surrender because living a life of trust. You believe and you know deeply in your heart that the world is always working in your favor. And I that sounds like some new age stuff, but It's my capital T truth. I know it for a fact. what I started to see ⁓ with of my students and all of my clients, ⁓ the that I help them reconnect to this ⁓ magical and I call it magic, but it's just ⁓ the universal source, higher consciousness, ⁓ the I help them awaken to their own sense of consciousness, the ⁓ easier life gets, the more in flow they are, the more they trust themselves, the happier they feel, ⁓ the resonant they are. And that is what's possible for all of you, all of you listening. This is what is possible for you. And it just makes you a better human. It makes you a better coach because can you imagine if you're coaching your clients and you're getting these like downloads divine being like, Hey, ask this question. Hey, be open to that. Or you imagine if you're like with your patients in the hospital and you're like ⁓ sensing it is that's really going on when like some dude really want to tell you why he's in the emergency department and you're like, ⁓ Okay, let me just make some space. Let me have this other person he's with step outside the room so he can tell me. All of these things start to open up for you that have always been available to you. It's this really powerful connection to something so much bigger than us. And we all have the technology available to us if we just reconnect, if we slow down and reconnect. It's incredibly powerful. I would love to help you do that. If you are listening, you're like, yes, I want that. Two options. One is work with me directly as your coach. You can schedule a consult with me. There's a link in the show notes to schedule a consult with me directly. I run a healing circle. It's called Resourced Wealth. It's ⁓ incredible program where I bring a small community of women together ⁓ we do a six week healing circle where we talk through our relationship with power and our relationship with money and ultimately our relationship to receiving. ⁓ through that time together, you reconnect to something so much bigger than you. next one I'm running of Resourced Wealth, that next program doesn't start until the fall. So if you want to work with me sooner, I'd recommend you set up a coaching consult call with me. All sweet friends, I'm going to leave you with homework. Your homework this. It's very simple. Just be open. ⁓ Just be to listening, to noticing, to connecting to the messages that the benevolent universe is sending your way. That's how we by just being open.
